The clay jar that Carmina used to sleep in was suddenly packed up with other stuff and sold to a curio shop. This was how she came out of that small dusty colonial Mexican town.

Monster Peg

I have to admit Monster Peg scares me :D
Usually my monsters are more charming than scary. But Monster Peg came out scary, haha. She's the second plush I ever made that scares me. The other one was a monster dog that now belongs to my brother in law. Anyway Peg is cool. She has a silver or metallic look about her... but still, I don't want her looking at me while I sleeep! She'll be tucked away until her new best friend purchases her :D

I started this muerta last night. My daughter thinks I should call her The Flower Girl. But I'm thinking more along the lines of Carmina :D

Tabitha Rabbit comes from a magical wood where the threat of an evil queen still holds true.

Monster Anabelle only recently discovered that she had been living in a trunk filled with old clothes. She tumbled out when two children dumped the contents out to play with.

It's almost their bedtime...woohoo

This is a tiring week, or last week was and this is why I am tired now. In whatever case this is why I haven't been around. It's one of those down times.... blah blah. The kids are kicking my butt.

The Charming Rogue and friends

K, today while kids were at school I didn't clean so don't pop over :D Instead I made some funky stump dolls. This finished one is The Charming Rogue. He looks as if he was born bad. He has an embroidered goatee and beauty mark :D
The other guy is The Scoundrel...There is a woman, too , but I haven't posted her photo. Her name is The Poisoner.These passionate stumps are more like my kinda Valentine plush :D

In the spirit of Valentine's Day

I thought I'd try my hand at making some Valentiny monsters. Nothing too much, just hints of red and pink. I still need to name them and imagine who they are :)

But right now I am rushing out and my brain can't think anyway.

Sugar!

Yesterday I let the kids decorate cupcakes because they just can't wait for Valentines Day! Look at this shocking sugar. Man, moods got a little moody at the end of the day but kids are only kids once. Well unless you are like me and still wanna play with dollhouses.

I guess when I was their age I must have loved sugar the way they do but I just can't remember. If you ask them what their favorite part of a trip was or what did they most remember about this or that chances are the answer is going to involve candy. I'm pretty sure when we take them to Disneyland for the first time those big swirly lolipops are gonna outshine Mickey.

Fun Pillow and Creeeepy Bunny

Last night I started a few things. The Bunny is fun and creepy :D I love black cirlced eyes on monsters....it gives them such personality :D

Little guys

I really need to create more monsters. I mean the kind that I have sketched. I've been lazy in the creation dept. but I have a cleaner house :D
I've never taken my Christmas tree down on New Years day...it usually hangs around for a couple weeks into January. But I got it out and it feels better. It made look at my walls differently and I can see all kinds of funky outsider art on them. I need to start painting.
We got some snow last night O__O.....I went to sleep while it was pouring down heavy rain and this morning my daughter yells, mom, there's snow!! I didn't believe her because they are always joking like that and there it was. All I care about is that they pick up the trash and recycled stuff today! We have 2 weeks worth of trash because they skipped last week....come on Portland! My trash is out there waiting still.
