Beer Can Voodoo

I found this can weeks ago and was thinking of painting a skeleton on it, but I went for a voodoo because that's the crazy theme for my kitchen :D I need some beads and stuff now.

Raspberry Picking

What a great day to be out in the fields picking berries! I love it on the farm, it is so peaceful :) The sun felt great but totally made me fall asleep on the way back :D

Flea Market Style Book

I own this book and never get tired of looking at the photos. I am so inspired by so many things right now in this moment. I have a hundred ideas and it's no joke. And I don't have time for any of them right now. How sucky is that? Not just dolls, but collages and paintings and junk sculptures and drawings and things i don't even have names for!
But for now we are going to a farm to let the kids run around like apes in the sun and then hopefully we will pick or buy some fruit.

Meg and Peg

Little Meg lives with her papa and mama in a modest cottage by the sea. Sometimes she goes to the waterfront with her papa when he does his humble but respectable dealings. Sometimes she helps her mama with the wash in their little yard which overlooks the port. But little Meg knows she is destined to be one of THEM. The ones that sail in and out of the port. The ones her parents sheild her eyes from. The pirates...

A thief and a beggar, Peg wears the worn and weathered look of any respectable pirate.
I love Pirate Peg maybe the best and I know she isn't dressed as luxe as the others but that's exactly why. I don't think I ever mentioned it but I love peasants almost as much as pirates.

I know I know

I am still up and this is the chaos in which I function. For tomorrow. I mean, today... later at a decent hour :D

Counting the days

...till I take the kids to go visit my mumma( 2-ish weeks) and I can reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelax.

Funny thing though, the other day we were driving back home from somewhere, the kids and I were beat, it was warm, we were all hungry....that's not the point...the point is that Janis Joplin came on the radio and it was the song Summertime which I LOVE....so I upped the volume and said, oh oh I love this song ( I guess I never played it for them) They were laughing and wondering why she was yelling :D I said, guys she's a legend, she's great! They started to imitate her awesome "yelling".... it was a memory, they did a good Janis :)

The Captain's Widow

I'm not being lazy by just giving her a title, it's just that I think the title and that watery blue eye say a lot on their own.

Places on Hawthorne Ave.

Usually every week we'd go out for coffee in the morning and walk around and take photos, but these past few weeks other things have come up and I finally got out today to do just that.
Yeah it was with the kids now that school is out and it wasn't so relaxed, but still. I got summore posted flyers and I am happy about that.
These kids are going to bed TOO LATE! And I can't seem to find creative time at night anymore, it's more than irritating....I think I need to get them up at 5 am....I'm kinda crabby, sorry.
Anyway, enjoy these pics :)

Oh, sad sad day when Eustacia's beau sailed away. Upon learning he was lost at sea, Eustacia resigned herself to float the halls of her father's house.

The Mistress

As the light fell low over the land and the nervous and excitable villagers once again feared to sleep now that the house on the hill had a new and strange Mistress.

The Love Story Voodoos

Again,I didn't mean to make a pair but these two share a thoughtful look that connects them. By that look their story reads tragic. And so in keeping them together you can see their divide.

Sentimental love fool?

Title This

I have some voodoos going up tomorrow....after I go get summore polyfil. I am liking these no school mornings. I get to stay up late and not think twice. Too bad I screwed up on my Netflix list and got something that I don't want now :D

Sisters Lilah and Thora

These are some photos from Alberta Street. We went the other evening. Love that bike :)
This is also Lilah and Thora. Sisters. This always happens. I never mean to make pairs but Thora's arm came out longer and is just right for hugging little Lilah. So I am not going to separate these two :)
