New kids

Two are up at the Etsy Betsy, the other two later.

Kids at home and Voodoo Doughnut

My little one doesn't have school today but the older one is home, not well. I'm telling you this had better be the last of the sickies for the year! Some years we get a cold once, some years it seems at least 5 times!
Anyway, there is this funky doughnut shop in Portland called Voodoo Doughnut and I took some photos of it. It's a small shop, a hole in the wall kind, downtown.

Purdy Day

Gosh! What the sun and fresh flowers can do to lift spirits!

Grrrrrr

I'm so mad at myself!! I had this funky idea to sew on this paperback book cover face to a voodoo doll and I done screwed it up! I was so excited that I didn't think about when I'd have to turn it inside out! Sunnuvabee. Of course it got all wrinkly! Next time I'll affix it after the doll is sewn up right side out! Dammit. But she still looks fun and she'll hang around as inspiration for more as soon as I can scout summore faces :)
One of the shows my daughter watches says when you're mad count to ten..... one, two, three......blah blah blah.

Flossie and...

Monster Tom with his teddy Wilson :D

I really really need to start these painting I have in mind because I am planning on having prints soon! I am excited about it but first I need to get started. I always have a hard time hauling all the paint stuff out and switching creative modes. Anyway..

Heya

I only posted Giselle the pinky monst on Etsy tonight because the other gal was being a pain for the cam :D

Is it a full moon?? My kids are fighting with each other like they just discovered it.
I need some really good loud music or some blessed silence.

Meet Melodie

Before you ever see Melodie you hear her...singing her eerie little tune.

Melodie measures 6 1/2 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide.

When I started Melodie I had a cute big nose bunny in mind, but when I noticed that the red circle looked better as an eye, I quickly switched my train of thought to this scary little one named Melodie.
