Carmen

Carmen is made from recycled fabrics and buttons. Her patterned front is a piece from a kitchen tea towel.
She is inspired by Day of the Dead and Voodoo dolls. She has a modest back.

Carmen measures approx. 5 1/2 inches tall by 3 inches wide.

I have another voodoo type love doll half made but this one is going to be a guy instead of a female. But my light is pretty much gone for today and people around here need to eat :D

My little monster boys and girls always have this Victorian or English feel to me. It's gotta be stuff like Edgar's velvet trousers :D

Tomorrow and Obscure Hollow

It was an inside day here, rain and kids not so swell. I have things for tomorrow because I had time to sew.

I got this pic from Obscure Hollow :D Really, if you love old scary movies you really should go there.

Pirate Jenny and Monster Moe

I haven't made a pirate in a while so here's Jenny. And Monster Moe has cool button eyes.

New kids

Two are up at the Etsy Betsy, the other two later.

Kids at home and Voodoo Doughnut

My little one doesn't have school today but the older one is home, not well. I'm telling you this had better be the last of the sickies for the year! Some years we get a cold once, some years it seems at least 5 times!
Anyway, there is this funky doughnut shop in Portland called Voodoo Doughnut and I took some photos of it. It's a small shop, a hole in the wall kind, downtown.

Purdy Day

Gosh! What the sun and fresh flowers can do to lift spirits!
