Voodoo Pierre is made from a vintage dress including this gauzy lining which made me buy this dress in the first place. He is a little voodoo, a little shrunken head and a little mummy... I love his primitive look. I love primitive art period. Anyway here are his reject shots :D

I Got Mail

Today I received a gift from Amy Hanson of Sweet Sweet Life who makes wonderful art! Oh you must see what she sent me :) Just beautiful and totally me :D Wow, I don't know what to say about all the sweet people I have met since starting this JunkerJane venture. It's great and wonderful and I am wowed daily at all of the talent out there. And more importantly the friendships and kindness. I wish...

...I could find the painting pic that inspired this doll. I was searching the web today and came upon a painting of a topless Victorian lady in white bloomers and black stockings. It was the contrast of white and black that made me want to make this doll. Oh well. I made her tonight. I was just gonna see Tv but was all fidgety so I went to sew. I am glad I did :D I love her Victorian look. I didn't mean for her to come out so lanky but she did and good thing because her legs look spidery.

This is my my new pirate guy from HeatherLouise!!!!!!! Oh he is divine!!! He is amazing and I love him!! Please go check out her stuff, she makes insane characters! My guy even has a real snail shell! Sigh. I may pass out.

Tomorrows Monster Girl

Here I am again. I have this time today because the hub is home and I take advantage of it :D
I've made this monster girl for tomorrows etsy post. I didn't put eyelashes on this one because I want her to be a kid. A little monster girl who'd rather be a pirate than a princess. I don't know about you guys but I never wanted to be the princess, I always wanted to be the witch :D I'm still the same, haha.

Voodoo Villette and Voodoo Monsty Annabel

Yesterday's post really should have been titled NERVOUS BREAKDOWN because the kids kicked my ath bigtime and I was so drained by the time they fell asleep. Course I kept it all hush hush because I didn't wanna scare anyone :D
So when they were knocked out I made these two voodoos. Making them is like knitting for me (which I don't do) It's just relaxing.
Today's weather is beautiful. We went out and I took lots of pics and I will try to post them later or soon.

I drew these a while ago but I've been thinking about making a plush of the top moth lady. But I'm already working on other stuff. Soon though.
I can't believe summer is almost here! I need a better plan than last year, lol. I need to find more cool places since our house has no central air. Man, that is rough. A lot f people don't have it but I get really cranky easy :D The kids got into the habit of going to bed so late thatI never had anytime to myself, none of that this summer, uh uh. I guess I am thinking about summer because we had a really warm day here. A nice day.
I thought I was getting a Netflix today but it didn't come. I guess I'll sew tonight.
