Otto the Strongman

Otto made many a lady swoon with his feats of strength and daring.
I finally got around to making a guy like Otto. I have had this idea for a while but who can say when the muse will really bite you in the butt :D
The other night I was watching Moulin Rouge again and I saw a scene that made me run for my pencil and paper. Also everytime I see that movie I want an old typewriter, working or not. Do you know I used to have 3!!! I got them for a steal, but let them go because we moved. What a dumb bunny.

WIP

Here is my strong man with no arms :D His name is Otto and he will finished tomorrow.

Voodoo Pierre

Voodoo Pierre is made from a vintage dress including this gauzy lining which made me buy this dress in the first place. He is a little voodoo, a little shrunken head and a little mummy... I love his primitive look. I love primitive art period. Anyway here are his reject shots :D

I wish...

...I could find the painting pic that inspired this doll. I was searching the web today and came upon a painting of a topless Victorian lady in white bloomers and black stockings. It was the contrast of white and black that made me want to make this doll. Oh well. I made her tonight. I was just gonna see Tv but was all fidgety so I went to sew. I am glad I did :D I love her Victorian look. I didn't mean for her to come out so lanky but she did and good thing because her legs look spidery.
