Happy Mudders Day
Today I took the kids out and I wanted to try this place called Saint Cupcake, so we went. This particular Saint Cupcake only sold them TO GO. They shared a building with a vintage/stationery shop. Saint Cupcake was in the back so we went in and picked out our cupcakes, several small ones. They packed them in these pretty pink boxes and I let the kids hold one each to occupy them while I looked around because they really had a lot of great stuff!! I was even going to buy some notecards but the kids were just not listening, at all, more so than usual...I wasn't looking at them and the next thing you know the damn cupcakes are half out of the boxes! Still in the shop! They musta shook the pretty pink boxes up like snowglobes because they were a mess! Man, I was like, what are you guys doing??? And we left... I managed to get some photos, but not of the notecards :D

Total D.I.Y
Like I said, It's funky and JUNKY :D But FUN :D
I made an inspiration board out of cardboard. Taped it together, painted it and then sealed it. It's all cardboard and I am not picky about what I use to make things stay put. I like tape, staples, needles....anything. Somehow I always feel like I need to make excuses or try to make people understand. I hate it. :D
A name like JunkerJane should say it all.
Funky and Junky
I am working on some inspiration board made from cardboard :D
I have all of these bits of paper, flyers, postcards, fabric samples etc etc etc. And I have no where to tack them. I know, go buy a corkboard....nope! I hauled out an old cardboard box, tape (cause I can't find any spare gluesticks) paint... and just went for it. I'll show you when I'm done.

A windy day in Portland
I LOVE windy days. Any windy day, not just the ones in Fall that bring in Halloween.
Today I went to the Belmont District and had breakfast at a place called Pine State Biscuits. It was great! I am not a biscuits and gravy person. I don't even think I've ever had any, it just doesnt look good. But this place was different and I had the shitake gravy over biscuits. It was grand. The place was so comfortable. Small, but friendly. Alive. The place was full of people coming and going and I just overall enjoyed the place. I loved it actually and will go back and I will take people with me.
The Belmont district is lovely. It's business mixed with residential. It's not so busy but it's quirky.
Again, I love Portland.
New monsters cuz I just can't help myself
Monster Manon, Monster Pirate Minette and Voodoo Olivie.
Monster Manon had lived in the house of a wealthy old bachelor all her life and had adopted the habit of chewing the leftover tobacco from his pipe. Needless to say she smelled like an ashtray.
If you're lucky you will never hear Monster Pirate Minette's clip-clopping footsteps behind you.
And Voodoo Olivie.
I swear I kept taking sneak peeks at my sewing machine and then finally I just said *cough* it!
