STUFFED MAGAZINE Submission Guidelines

A few people have asked me how I went about submitting my work to Stampington's STUFFED Magazine. They have a guidelines page on their website. Here: http://www.stampington.com/html/wanna_get_published.html

Basically every plush item sent in must be labeled with this information: Your full name, phone number and email add. You can use a large tag and pin one to each plush submitted. Or you can seal the plush and info in a plastic or cellophane bag. Most of my items were sent this way minus one that was too large, so I attached a tag to this one.
I sent in my original plush but they state in the guidelines other ways to submit art/plush.They state: We prefer submissions of original art. If original art is not available, our next preference is hi-res digital images (300 dpi at 8½" x 10"). If hi-res digital images are not available, we will very rarely consider professional-quality transparencies or color slides. Color-copy submissions are not accepted.

In addition to sending your plush well packed, you must also send a pre-paid postage money order to have your items returned to you. You can get this at the post office when mailing your package. Of course, do not seal your package at home before you add this into it :D

Also they clearly state that sometimes, a piece of artwork submitted for one issue may be better suited for an upcoming issue. Other times, submissions are forwarded for consideration to the editors of our sister publications. For these reasons we may hold your sample for an extended period of time — 9-12 months is common. Rest assured that we will take excellent care of your artwork. In the meantime, if you move, please send a postcard or e-mail to the editor with your new address.

Mail your submissions to this add:

Stampington also has a video on YouTube which goes over this as well. You can find that here:

Please make sure you know the deadline date and send your items with plenty of time to arrive.
I really encourage EVERYONE who makes softies and plush to submit!!! It is super exciting and fun!!!

If I didn't answer your question please feel free to leave a comment and I will answer you back :)

Kitty Luxe Pillow

Really funky weird art pillow/plush! I used fade-proof/waterproof ink pen on the mask and X on the printed lady fabric and pink crayola for her cheeks!
The kitty face is all sewn, no ink on that part :D

Beer Can Voodoo

I found this can weeks ago and was thinking of painting a skeleton on it, but I went for a voodoo because that's the crazy theme for my kitchen :D I need some beads and stuff now.

Raspberry Picking

What a great day to be out in the fields picking berries! I love it on the farm, it is so peaceful :) The sun felt great but totally made me fall asleep on the way back :D
