Fun Blog...Gloomy Sunday

Oh, I love these old covers :) Plus I used to read Victoria Holt! :D Lots of gloomy weather, gloomy houses, gloomy moors. Perfect!
I added the link to the side.

I made them a story

These are Monsters Finnigan and Toulouse.
Monster Finnigan met Monster Toulouse in one of Paris's underground tunnels. It was in that dank dark place that Finiggan told Toulouse how he came to lose his left leg. And from then on both had become inseparable.

MOnster Finnigan comes with a spool :D

Mine all mine

I'm almost out of this particular fabric that lined a handmade jacket that I have been using for some of my plushes. It's my favorite! I figure that I should start making some mini plushes for me to keep, because I am thrilled when they sell but I miss some of them!! :D It will give me a reason to make little box houses for them to hang. To hang in this future studio that I keep hoping for, ha! So I made this wee one. I haven't named her or dreamed up a story for her yet.

New plush and panic

Oh, I made this colorful little bunny guy last night :) All he needs is a label on the back....I made an interesting pirate rabbit too, but I couldn't get a decent picture of her....Also, in other news, I haven't started on my Halloween costume....I switched from pirate to a loose interpretation of Tia Dalma the Voodoo Lady....oh I can't wait to have black teeth!! :D I would really love to get a chicken/ rooster claw, but where from?? I mean not real, but...where anyway??

Folky Kitty Painting

I did this other painting, too. The colors are cheery.
Who would have thought that all the average (No hideous demon skulls...etc) pitchforks would be gone days ago??? My daughter is going to be a devil and I can't find one stinking pitchfork...Running around to 6 differnt places is when Halloween gets stupid :D

Folk art Paintings

I have added two paintings to my ETSY. They were sooo hard to photograph! I am still not happy with the photos, but...whatever...I have a series of paintings on square blocks of wood that I started a year ago...they are what I call my cabaret girls. I think I will finish them and post them, too. I love the 20's and 30's and the whole cabaret world. And Cabaret, the movie is one of my all time faves!
Where was I?? Oh yeah, my stinky photos....yeah gotta work on that...

I just love french girls names

I have made two new monster girls, Mignon and Cosette. I made them using a handmade bolero jacket that I purchased at Goodwill years ago. I purposely used the fabrics inside-out because I love the fray and deconstructed look. Old clothes inspire me. A lot of my voodoo type monsters have french names, it started because I was inspired by New Orleans.
These two JunkerJane name thingies are from cards I made the other day. It also reminds me I need to change my header!
