A Smile for Today

When the kids take baths they always fill the tub up with toys galore. When the water goes down I go in to clean up and this morning I walked in and saw this... :D I swear she wasn't set up! I'm really appreciating this unexpected smile today.

Sometimes people ask me what inspires me and I show this photo of the doll head, bowl of mixed textures and colors to give an example. It's seeing all this mix of jumbled junk that gives me ideas for plush dolls.

Newbie and Misfit WIP

I like the misfits. Really I do. I love cutting up old dolls and teddy bears and using their parts.... psst... there are so many in the basement, too....extras. Just so ya know I always wash the recycled items....anyway I could seriously stay up all night and sleep in the day, but with kids...well...but I'll finish this misfit for tomorrow morning.

Usually she draws pics with a lot of thought bubbles and comment bubbles....she cracks me up with what her characters say....and you should see how fast she scribbles it all out....kinda is intimidating :D I'm going to encourage her to make her own storybook.

After we go bowling... :D...I'm gonna get to that sewing machine and post monsters all weekend. It's a 3 day weekend.....yea and nay.
