This is how the conversation went...
Bianca comes up to me a few days ago with a marker drawing of hers. She wants to show me what she has created and shows me her art and says ," Mom, look at my sunny happy monster!"....I say, "oh, she's awesome! She's so colorful and supersuper great!! "
I totally mean it because it's so happy and fun and when I look at it it just makes me HAPPY.
Then in an innocent and sincere way she says.... and she doesn't mean it to be insulting...you can tell by the way she says this that it's the way she SEES it....."Yeah, mom, not like your ridiculous, stained moldy monsters...."
hahahahahaha, what a compliment....that's how I take it :D

Ah, bless their little hearts.
You should turn her cute picture into a monster and put it under her pillow. That will give her something to think about. Give it fangs and a few bloodstains and deny all knowledge....
Hahaha! That's so cute. Kids are awesome. That drawing is so cute too. I was actually thinking the exact thing that Gillian requested...or just make it as close to the version she drew for a fun project...hmm...
Then pretend it just CAME TO LIFE on it's own.
gotta love it!!!
HAHA! I love her!! The other day I was sitting at the table, working on a collage (the skelly with the crown) and Lucas looks over and says, "Hey, I LIKE that one." hahahahah! Like it was the first one EVER. Ah, kids.
Yeah, I LOVE compliments like that! LOL!
I agree, a super happy colorful sweet drawing!
(but I do adore stained and moldy!)
Great story.
: D
I had the same idea as Gillian. It would be a precious little monster.
simply put
Beautiful
I love what comes out of their precious mouths!
