I am excited to announce that three of my Mini Art Dolls were selected for the Neo-Kitsch National juried exhibition of small works at ArtsWest Gallery in Seattle.
December 5th - December 24th, 2010.
"This Exibit will feature artists from Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Maryland and California alongside a host of the finest artists from the Pacific Northwest including Charles Krafft, Kelly Lyles, Diem Chau, Patricia Ridenour, Marty Gordon, Theresa Neinas, and Deborah Scott in Neo-Kitsch: national small works showcase. All artists juried into this show include work that fit the theme of kitsch with a contemporary twist. This miniature art exhibition with a big attitude includes artwork in diverse styles and mediums such as painted 45 records, a powder puff, and a skillet; a crayon tip carved into a little girl; a funny shaped rock covered in colorful pom poms; multiple PEZ® container artworks; beautiful misfit dolls made from recycled materials, as well as amusing and just plain cool artwork made from more traditional mediums. From cleverly collaged cowboy boots to black velvet paintings of Black Velvet Canadian Whiskey this show is sure to thrill ArtsWest patrons from December 4 through December 24."ArtsWest
