Flea Market Style Book

I own this book and never get tired of looking at the photos. I am so inspired by so many things right now in this moment. I have a hundred ideas and it's no joke. And I don't have time for any of them right now. How sucky is that? Not just dolls, but collages and paintings and junk sculptures and drawings and things i don't even have names for!
But for now we are going to a farm to let the kids run around like apes in the sun and then hopefully we will pick or buy some fruit.

Meg and Peg

Little Meg lives with her papa and mama in a modest cottage by the sea. Sometimes she goes to the waterfront with her papa when he does his humble but respectable dealings. Sometimes she helps her mama with the wash in their little yard which overlooks the port. But little Meg knows she is destined to be one of THEM. The ones that sail in and out of the port. The ones her parents sheild her eyes from. The pirates...

A thief and a beggar, Peg wears the worn and weathered look of any respectable pirate.
I love Pirate Peg maybe the best and I know she isn't dressed as luxe as the others but that's exactly why. I don't think I ever mentioned it but I love peasants almost as much as pirates.

I know I know

I am still up and this is the chaos in which I function. For tomorrow. I mean, today... later at a decent hour :D

Counting the days

...till I take the kids to go visit my mumma( 2-ish weeks) and I can reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelax.

Funny thing though, the other day we were driving back home from somewhere, the kids and I were beat, it was warm, we were all hungry....that's not the point...the point is that Janis Joplin came on the radio and it was the song Summertime which I LOVE....so I upped the volume and said, oh oh I love this song ( I guess I never played it for them) They were laughing and wondering why she was yelling :D I said, guys she's a legend, she's great! They started to imitate her awesome "yelling".... it was a memory, they did a good Janis :)

The Captain's Widow

I'm not being lazy by just giving her a title, it's just that I think the title and that watery blue eye say a lot on their own.
